High in the mountains above Santa Barbara, this radial tower of native stone, wood, and glass enjoys sweeping ocean and mountain views. Inspired by the ancient stone towers of the southwest, the building is keyed into the hillside with a separate entrance for each of the three floors. The main tower embraces a smaller, circular stair tower which connects the third floor to the roof deck. Wooden trellises express the radial form and shade the south facing view windows.
